Scott Basinger, Sidney Faust, Elsie Eckert, and Judi McGee (pictured, from left) chaired the 14th annual Salute to Champions luncheon and fashion show benefiting Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center at Texas Children’s Hospital. More than 400 supporters at The Revaire raised more than $440,000. Melissa Wilson, Fox26 reporter and mom of a childhood cancer survivor, emceed the event that featured “patient champions” walking the runway in a fashion show, accompanied by “community champions.” Matthew Wong helped kick off the show when he lit the torch alongside a patient champion to lead the models down the runway. This year’s event recognized Lilly and Thurmon Andress, Rachel and Jeff Bagwell, Lisa and Mike O’Leary, Gayla Gardner, and Diane and Harry Gendel as legacy community champions.
