Beth Muecke, Jayne Johnston, and Melissa Reihle (pictured, from left)     Sonja Kostich, Richard Flowers, and Stephanie Tsuru (pictured, from left) gathered     gathered at the home of Paige Fertitta for the kick-off party for the 2026 Houston Ballet Ball. More than 140 ballet supporters enjoyed live piano melodies, champagne, and hors d’oeuvres while hearing about plans for the February 2026 Ballet Ball at the Wortham Theater Center. Houston Ballet executive director Sonja Kostich recognized ball chairs Christine and David M. Underwood, Jr. and honoree Richard Flowers. Christine Underwood then gave a preview of this year’s ball, unveiling the theme inspired by Act II of Stanton Welch’s reimagined Giselle. The Houston Ballet Ball will take place on Feb. 21, featuring a three-course seated dinner, live entertainment, and dancing. For more information, visit houstonballet.org.
