Happy Friday! It’s the first official weekend of spring and Houston is packed with can’t-miss events. From the final weekend of RodeoHouston, to outdoor movies, festivals, and live music, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Get up and kick off the spring season with a fun-filled weekend!

RODEO SEASON

RODEO SEASON Kids enjoy heading out to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo year after year to see the animals, enjoy the food, and soak in the sights and sounds. Enjoy a movie night under the stars at the Museum of Fine Arts, set on top of the Glassell School of Art. As part of the “Time Travel” series, the final Friday features a screening of 13 Going on 30. Relax on the rooftop lawn at the Brown Foundation Plaza Amphitheater, enjoy complimentary popcorn, and watch with provided headsets for premium sound. Signature cocktails inspired by the film will also be available for purchase.

Be a part of the 54th Annual Buffalo Bayou Partnership Regatta, the largest canoe and kayak race in Texas where hundreds of paddlers are brought together for a scenic and spirited ride through Houston’s most significant natural waterway. Participants can join the race by bringing or renting their own canoe or kayaking. Spectators are welcome to watch from various spots along the bayou. Funds support the Buffalo Bayou Partnership’s ongoing work to create and maintain parks, trails, and destinations along the Bayou.

Bellaire Holi brings the community together to celebrate the Festival of Colors with a fun, family-friendly event filled with music, dancing, food, and games.
