If you’re sticking around town and looking for ways to make the most of it, RodeoHouston is in full swing and ready to welcome Houstonians for an exciting season. Mythical Realms, a brand-new exhibit, opens today at the Houston Zoo, perfect to explore over Spring Break. Immerse yourself with an interactive walk-through trail featuring legendary creatures from across the globe like sea monster Kraken, iconic winged horse Pegasus, supernatural guardian from Māori tradition Taniwha, and more. Visitors will experience the opportunity to come face-to-face with these life-sized animatronics, while exploring and connecting with wildlife along the way. Proceeds from this event will help to support the Zoo’s conservation efforts.

The MFAH presents the Moonlight Movies series, inviting guests to enjoy a night under the stars. This Friday, catch a screening of the timeless classic, Back to the Future (PG). Sit on the sloping roof of the Glassell School of Art in the Amphitheater on The Brown Foundation, Inc. Plaza. Signature cocktails inspired by the evening’s film are available for purchase.

The Houston Astros host the 2026 World Baseball Classic Pool B games with matchups featuring teams from Great Britain, Italy, Mexico, the United States, and Brazil. Head over to Daikin Park and cheer on your favorite teams as they go head-to-head on the field, in hopes of taking a home a title. Match-ups taking place this weekend are: March 6: Mexico vs. Great Britain – 12 p.m. & United States vs. Brazil - 7 p.m. March 7: Brazil vs. Italy – 12 p.m. & Great Britain vs. United States – 7 p.m. March 8: Great Britain vs. Italy – 12 p.m. & Brazil vs. Mexico – 7 p.m.

Explore beautifully curated private home gardens in addition to Bayou Bend Collection & Gardens, Rienzi, and The Forum of Civics Building and Garden. Azelea Trail proceeds support local landscape and beautification projects, horticulture awareness, conservation, and education projects related to horticulture or conservation.

This Sunday kicks off the 2026 Jazzy Sundays in the Park series at Discovery Green. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy an afternoon of live music from the James Francies Trio and the Kinder HSPVA Jazz Ensemble. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, and a pop-up market will also be on site.
