West University Elementary School students will participate in the Souper Bowl of Caring through Feb. 4. It is a national movement to fight hunger that takes place around the time of the Super Bowl. WUES PTO has organized the collection as a school-wide service project. During the last 11 years of participation, WUES has donated a total of 14,700 items and 246,300 pounds of food. Last year, it donated 57,320 pounds of food. All food items collected are donated to the Houston Food Bank. To donate canned or boxed food items, send your donation to WUES with a student.
