West University Elementary School (former) fifth-graders Lillian Cutrer, Jaina Jhunjhunwala, Myaan Sonenshein and Lilianna Sundet (pictured, from left) celebrated at a picnic at the Southside Place clubhouse before their graduation ceremony and ended the day with a pool party. At the ceremony, principal John Threet and fifth-grade teacher Karen Miller delivered inspirational speeches. It was a bittersweet time for the kids as they will be going to various middle schools throughout Houston.
