Sofia Adrogue, Philamena Baird, Sylvia Garcia, Trini Mendenhall and Patricia Herrera (pictured, from left) lunched on Cinco de Mayo with more than 650 others for the 15th annual fashion show and bazaar for the Board of Latin Women’s Initiative. Luncheon chairs Karina Barbieri and Daisy Mendoza kept the energy going. Stylish designs from Cooperativa Shop’s Kris Goyri and Sandra Weil, as well as collections of Takasami’s Rosario Mendoza, graced the runway with festive Latin flair. Leading the anniversary celebration was LWI president Michele Leal Farah. Over the past 15 years, $2 million of financial support has been raised for women and children in Houston’s Latino community.
