Spring Branch-Memorial Sports Association’s 6U Wildcats (pictured) celebrate a great season. Most of the girls had never played softball before, but they learned quickly from coaches Erik Keracik and Derek Phillips. In addition to softball basics, the girls learned sportsmanship, teamwork and how to keep a positive attitude. The Wildcats were underdogs during the regular season, but when playoffs started their work paid off. Advancing to the third round of playoffs, the girls dominated the field and even beat the first-place team in the division. The Wildcats are (top row, from left): Harper Patton, Elena Barton, Sydney Hatcher, Charlotte Phillips and Lexie Chapman; (bottom row, from left): Anna Teresa Oliver, Emma Stephenson, Tatianna Avalon, Addison Keracik, Brooke Davis, Kaylee Ruiz and Abigail Sala.
