Valley Oaks Elementary was well represented on the soccer field during a game at the Spring Branch Education Center. Third grader Preston Hopkins and second graders Evan Mauritzen, Davin Ross, Blake Borski and Travis Weiss (pictured, from left) got together at the end of the game, as friends, after playing against each other on the field. The classmates are all members of the Spring Branch-Memorial Sports Association 8U soccer division, on the Hammerheads and Neon Tigers teams. The Valley Oaks vs. Valley Oaks matchup was a great game and ended in a 2-2 tie. Both teams had strong seasons, with the Hammerheads finishing third, all around, and the Neon Tigers advancing to the silver bracket championship game.
