Friends and teammates Ford Steward and Thomas Rissmiller (pictured, from left) are enjoying their first season with Spring Branch-Memorial Sports Association soccer. The boys are not new to soccer, but this season they have joined a new league. This fall, as the only students from Briargrove Elementary on the SBMSA 8U boys Predators team, Ford and Thomas have met players from several other schools and are having a great season. First grader Thomas loves playing goalie, while first grader Ford’s specialty is kicking the ball hard. They both love competitive sports, and also play baseball and basketball together.
