Rebekah Stephens, Elizabeth Fisher and Madeleine Baird (pictured, from left), all 13, recently finished winning seasons in both volleyball and swimming. Along with their teammates on the Grady Middle School seventh-grade volleyball team, the girls won first place, overall, in the district, and also won first place at the Welch Invitational Tournament. The Grady seventh-grade swim team also had a great season. Rebekah, Elizabeth, Madeleine and Anelisa Coronodo placed first in the district in the girls’ 4x50 freestyle relay. In addition, Madeleine set a new district swim record in the 100-yard freestyle event.
