Mommy Moments: Halloween Fun
Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. It’s the only day of the year where it’s completely acceptable to be silly and dress up as anything you’d like to be. It can bring out some laughs and make people say “awwwwww” for the cute little ones.
Our twins are two so they didn’t quite grasp the concept yet but for the weeks leading up to Halloween, they loved to see our neighbor’s Halloween decorations. Their favorite decoration were ghosts and the large blowup black cats. I purchased their costumes through a private Facebook group where moms buy and sell gently used baby and kids items. I just went off what would fit and what was the cutest and that's how we ended up with a peacock and a Hulk (the two are not connected, and kind of random but still so cute). I paid a whopping $5 for Hulk and $15 for the peacock costume.
There were so many adorable costumes in our neighborhood: Little Bo Peep, Captain America, a banana, a doctor, and many more.
My husband and I got into the spirit by dressing up as well. I am 6 ½ months pregnant with our third child. So I dressed up as Juno from the movie Juno, who finds herself 16 and pregnant. My husband was Bleeker, Juno’s boyfriend. I found most of the costume at Goodwill. We got some laughs and it was fun to get into the Halloween spirit along with the kids.
