Each of the freshmen groups were assigned two Crusader Crew leaders at the beginning of the year. Crusader Crew is an organization of upperclassmen who devote their time to help the freshmen settle in to the new school environment. Immediately as the school year begins, freshmen are given Crusader Crew leaders who are available to answer any questions and help them adjust to Strake Jesuit.

One of the most enjoyable activities put on by the Crusader Crew is dressing up their freshmen in costumes on Halloween.

In order to celebrate Halloween and bring the freshman class together, Strake Jesuit continued their annual Halloween tradition on Oct. 31. Every year, the freshman are divided into groups of roughly ten kids and dressed up in costumes as a group.

Costume ideas ranged from "281ers" to "Cereal Killers." This was a fun way to unite the freshman class. The Halloween costume contest this year was a great success, as the freshmen and their Crusader Crew leaders had a great time.
