A royal time at the Westin Galleria for the Social Book launch was hosted by owners Scott Evans, Jeff Henry and Sami Shbeeb. Over 600 guests celebrated the launch of the 24th-anniversary edition and honored Houston philanthropists Anne Carl, Ed and Gwen Emmett, Carolyn Faulk, Tyson and Tena Faust, Zina Garrison, Gina Gaston Elie, Susan Hansen, Alan Helfman, Wallis and DeeDee Marsh, Jim McIngvale, Ed McMahon and Dr. Stuart Yudofsky. The Galleria ballroom was staged as a “royal court,” divided into the Queen’s Parlor, King’s Court, Duchess’ Garden and Prince’s Lodge. A few dignified VIPs were Trey Counts as Queen Elizabeth II, with a pack of Welsh Corgis on wheels, Renee Helfman, Gina Gaston-Elie, Jane-Page Crump, Jo Ann Petersen and Mike Taylor.
