The Junior League of Houston 71st Fire and Ice Charity Ball had lots of sparks over the two-night explosion of sensory fun, to raise $750,000. Cocktails started in the Winter Showcase Room and were followed by dinner and the league’s talented all-volunteer cast of dancers, singers and musicians. The show produced by Bill Bartlett and Alissa LaVergne had multiple backgrounds projected on the stage wall. In awe of the snowcapped aerialist that poured champagne from above were chair Tara Merla Hinton, Elizabeth Roath Garcia, Ellen Kolpin Toranzo, Steph Magers, Anne Sears, Jayne Johnston, Alicia Lee, Beth Muecke, Lia Vallone, Whitney Walsh, Vivian Wise and Beth Zdeblick.
