In a 2013 “Sangria in the Sukkah” event at Hillel, Lindsey Frachtman and Scott Friedman made small talk and then went their separate ways. Although no numbers were exchanged, they connected on Facebook and went on a date months later. When they married at the new Hyatt Regency Galleria there was a suspended chuppah with hanging candles encased in glass bubbles and floating orchids. Their signature cocktail, “Cabo San-Gria,” was a nod to their honeymoon destination. Lindsey swooned with surprise when Scott serenaded her with the band playing Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You by Frankie Valli. Lindsey wore a pearl necklace from Japan that her paternal grandmother and mother wore on their wedding days. The parents of the couple, Dr. and Mrs. Richard and Anne Frachtman and Neil and Carol Friedman, think the couples are real gems as well.
