Marc and Kristi Barnhill, huge South Carolina Gamecocks fans, fly to Columbia for most of the season’s home games. They hosted 25 Gamecock friends in Houston for a Texas football weekend. First, they took everyone to see the Gamecocks play the Aggies in College Station. The next day, they went to see the Texans play the Titans. Even Carolina’s athletic director, Ray Tanner, stayed an extra day to see the game. After all, Texans owner Bob McNair is a South Carolina alum. Cheers were especially loud for former Gamecocks Johnathan Joseph, Jadeveon Clowney and Bruce Ellington, along with six former Clemson players. South Carolina and Clemson play in the Palmetto Game, and it is a huge state rivalry, but once they are all Texans, everyone is cheering them all on.
