It was in the ’70s when Jill Reichman and her young family left Johannesburg, South Africa. Connie Reddy hosted a 70th birthday happy hour-style with appetizers and Godiva and vodka shooters to toast Jill. Yours truly had a quiz about Jill’s background, to see who knew what costume, robe and rubbers meant in South Africa (swim suit, formal gown and erasers). Jill’s family, Gavin, Natalie, Sydney, Sadie and Lauren Reichman, helped blow out sparkler candles. Several friends are expecting an invitation from Jill to play with her new mah jongg set (group gift).
