Park lovers gathered

Cara and Chad Michael (pictured), along with more than 650 people, filled the ballroom at the Hilton of Americas Downtown to celebrate a “Masquerade in the Park,” the Friends of West University Place Parks Fund 26th annual Park Lovers’ Ball. The event raised over $370,000 for green spaces in West University. Guests sipped cocktails, bid on silent-auction items and posed in the photo booth. A live auction kept the excitement alive in the ballroom with six Houston Texans preseason sideline passes and six tickets to a regular-season game, plus memorabilia, a one-week stay in a  Colorado ski house, and a Fathers and Flashlights Camper VIP package.
