Students from Down Syndrome Academy spent the afternoon of Sunday, May 7 - Lemonade Day - selling lemonade to shoppers at the Kroger on Post Oak. Lemonade Day is a national initiative aimed at teaching students how to run a small business. The students spent several weeks planning their eight lemonade stands, learning about money and making sales and preparing their product and signage.

All proceeds from the weekend’s lemonade sales go to Friends of Down Syndrome, a nonprofit that runs the Down Syndrome Academy and other programs for teens and adults with Down syndrome in the Houston area. See more information here
