The Rotary Club of West U recently held its annual vocation-awards program. Winners were Rice University’s Engineers Without Borders chapter for its members’ work in Central America; West U plastics executive Bill Diecks for improving operations at the Houston Food Bank; attorney John Raley for his work in freeing an innocent man; Sara Lytle from Travis Elementary for her dedication to her students, church and community; and Tom Wright from Episcopal High School for helping Rotary’s foreign-exchange students attend Episcopal and for sponsoring the school’s InterAct Club.
