A record-breaking 1,200 students and their families from Frostwood Elementary School turned out for the annual International Festival. Everyone enjoyed food from 15 countries, ranging from Russian caviar to Brazilian empanadas and Ethiopian food. Another record-breaking total of 63 families contributed by bringing food, crafts and games; decorating and filling tents highlighting various countries, including Australia, China, South Korea, Iran and Vietnam; and setting up and overseeing the festival. Current and former Frostwood students and professional entertainers performed music, dances and shows. The related Parade of Nations had over 250 kids, including (pictured, from left) Lexie Smith, Ryan Stanicic and Sophie Smith marching in costumes highlighting the country of their choice.
