Love & Respect Marriage Enrichment Course
Chapelwood to offer 5-session Marriage Enrichment Course – Love & Respect, featuring candlelight dinners for two. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Chapelwood United Methodist Church will offer a marriage enrichment program to married couples entitled Love & Respect. The five-session program will feature five date nights and will be held on Sunday evenings, Feb. 8-March 8, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Chapelwood UMC.
The Love & Respect series is designed to help couples strengthen their marital relationship. Each session will include a romantic dinner served at a private table for two, an enlightening message on DVD by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs and built-in breaks for one on one program discussion. The book Love & Respect was awarded Book of the Year in 2007 and focuses on best communications tools and practices for immediate application in the marriage relationship. Husbands and wives will learn to better understand their partner, what is important to them and the best form of delivery in communication resulting in improved understanding, empathy and respect. The course is designed for any married couple who wants to work together to invest in their relationship regardless if they have been married for less than a year or more than 30. Both strong marriages and marriages experiencing challenges will benefit from learned practical tools to help couples work through daily life and difficult issues.
