Sailing through Scandinavia was the coronation gala theme during Mardi Gras when the Knights of Momus, one of Galveston’s oldest Mardi Gras krewes, presented their court. The 24th class of duchesses of the KoM included best friends from the Memorial High School class of 2017, Bailey Corrine Black, daughter of Don and Beth Black; Annie Elise Titterington, daughter of Chris and Susan Titterington; Mary Isabella Garofalo, daughter of Michael and Carolyn Garofalo; and Madelyn Kent Hilyard, daughter of Alan and Gretchen Hilyard. Their dads presented them at the gala at the Galveston Convention Center. They were also invited to attend the San Luis Salute, a gala of over 1,500 people presented by Tilman Fertitta.
