The Emery/Weiner School’s middle school boys soccer team (pictured) finished the season as the Greater Houston Athletic Conference runner up. The strong Jaguars defense made it very difficult for the opposing teams to score goals, and had a huge impact on the outcome of the soccer season. Coached by Ivan Ventura, the entire team contributed to the season’s success, highlighted by notable performances from Jake Levy, Asher Golub, Cory Rubenstein, and Ethan Wintz. The soccer stars include coach Ivan Ventura, Jonathon Shellist, Gur Machol, Matthew Curtis, Colin Frank, Jake Levy, Joshua Danziger, Jacob Silberlicht, Micah Levin, Cory Rubenstein, Brendan Domsalla, Alex Levy, Jeffrey Sorkin, Asher Golub, Ethan Wintz, Blake Cohen, Asher Bar-Yadin, Brady Dow, Bryan Curtis, Louis Fisher, Evan Melman and Zev Goetz.
