Brad Loper, Caroline Loper, Elliot Loper

Mark Twain Elementary School student Elliot Loper, 7, and her little sister Caroline, 5, who attends West University Methodist, had a day to remember. Their dad, Brad Loper, surprised the girls by picking them up early from school for a 1 p.m. Houston Astros game against Oakland A’s. Jose Altuve tossed the girls a ball while they were sitting behind the Astros dugout. Later in the game they got another ball tossed to them. Dad bought them Astros gear, which they have worn pretty much every day since the game. Note: The Loper family experienced flooding in their home over the Memorial Day weekend, as did so many families in the neighborhood. The family is OK, but their house is in need of repairs. The Buzz sends condolences for the damage.
