My family has some of the most amazing stories when talking about Houston. They have been in Houston since 1840! I love sitting around during holidays and school breaks and listening to the older generation unravel the mysteries of the city and speak the, "remember whens...." All this talk prompted me to go and explore and photograph the old and the new and document so many of these extravagant tales of the growth and changes, the good and the bad. As the years went by, I found my true love in photography! Over the past few years, after being on the court as a ball kid for nine years at the Men's Clay tournament held in Houston every spring, I decided to ask for a spot as a high school photographer for the tournament. So, for the past two seasons, I've combined being a ball kid and serving as staff photographer for the tournament. I've enjoyed shooting tennis and polo and sailing, which is another passion of mine. My training at HSPVA has been a source of great support for this passion. I look forward to contributing to School Buzz and focusing on photography.
