I’m a senior at the Emery/Weiner school. I found my interest in writing while taking journalism at my school in 10th grade. I wrote for the 9825, the school’s weekly magazine. In 11th grade, I transitioned to scripting a weekly broadcast called the Emery Update that covered school’s sporting events, trips, and student interests. The Emery Update also featured a comedic section that involved faculty members. Living in Houston gives me the ability to write about anything because of its size and diversity. I am greatly looking forward to writing about the people around me and developing my skills in journalism.
