Ryan Diamond

My name is Ryan Diamond and I am a sophomore at The Emery/Weiner School. I realized that I had a passion for writing when I was in eighth grade. I aspire to be a journalist because I wish to write articles informing society about important events happening in our community and around the world. A few of my hobbies include singing, playing basketball, and playing golf. I am on the board of my BBYO chapter, Reisbord AZA. I also participate in the Jewish Teen Philanthropy Program and HaZamir Teen Choir. During summer vacations, my family and I travel to different parts of the world. I have been to South Africa, Israel, Mexico, The Cayman Islands, St. Thomas, and many more amazing places. I enjoy exploring different cultures and seeing how other individuals live. From the moment I toured Emery, I knew that the school was unique. I felt this way because it was obvious that there were students from different cultural backgrounds (even though it is known as a Jewish school) which makes the school diverse and welcoming. After school, I enjoy coming home and playing with my new dog, Winnie.
