I have loved writing from a very young age, and my love of books and reading fueled my passion. After winning the PBS Kids Writers contest for my grade in first grade, I decided to keep writing. I later knew that I was serious about writing when I decided to write a 100-page story in second grade! I only got to page 72, but I was determined to continue writing. Writing has been a constant in my life thus far, as I continued to write throughout my middle and early high school years, winning both a Silver Key and Gold Key for the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards during that time period. Aside from writing fictional stories, I especially enjoy using my writing as a tool to inform others about stories and information I believe need to be acknowledged. This has led me to the art of journalism and writing to inform others. I have encountered many students from my school with stories that showcase the determination and innovation of my peers, and I would like to ensure that their stories are told through School Buzz.
