Sandy and Glenn Cornelius’ Basic Burger Recipe
Ingredients:
½ lb. ground beef
½ lb. ground sirloin
Salt and pepper
A few dashes of Worcestershire Sauce
Recipe directions:
Mix and form into six patties.
Place burgers on a very hot grill, directly over the heat.
Cook for 3-5 minutes on each side for medium, less time for medium rare or longer for well done. Flip burgers only once. Avoid moving or smashing the meat with a spatula, or the burgers won’t retain their juicy flavor.
Finish burgers off with:
- Cheddar cheese or blue cheese crumbles
- Red onion slices
- Large slices of homegrown tomatoes
- Romaine lettuce or spinach
- Dill-pickle slices
