Laura Newcomer

Hi, my name is Laura Newcomer, and I’m a senior at St. Thomas’ Episcopal. I’m super excited to be writing for the School Buzz, as I love all writing in general. Aside from creative writing and yearbook, I love singing and reading historical fiction. I’m trilingual and currently working on my fourth and fifth languages. I love the atmosphere and energy of Houston and Texas culture in general. St. Thomas’ Episcopal is a great school, and I’ve been going there since sixth grade. I love that it’s a small school, so everybody knows everybody else. I also love that the teachers stay there so long and move around classes so often. It’s really great when your favorite teacher from sixth grade ends up being your favorite teacher in tenth grade.
