Marlena Astorga is a Customer Service Clerk for the Houston Public Library. A native Houstonian, she joined the Houston Public Library staff not long after graduating from the University of St. Thomas. Considered a “geek librarian,” she specializes in teen material, and is a graphic novel enthusiast. Recently, she presented at Comicpalooza discussing the role of women in comics. Ms. Astorga is also an avid mystery fan, and is always ready to discuss her latest find from that genre.
