My name is Nitin Manian, a senior at Carnegie Vanguard High School. My interests in writing and photography were developed from a young age, due to Writers in the Schools, which included slam poetry. I believe that the ability to convey everyone’s stories is paramount to developing an understanding of the world around us. I love local and national politics, and I have a passion for STEM. As a varsity baseball player and an aspiring basketball star, I have developed an interest in sports throughout my whole entire life. Houston stands out to me because I am what is referred to as an urban enthusiast, and I love the murals, skyscrapers, and restaurants throughout the area.
