Good times for the bayou

Let the good times roll at the Bayou Preservation Association’s 2018 gala, Bon Temps on the Bayou, Nov. 14, 6:30-9:30 p.m. This year’s event takes place on Buffalo Bayou in the Memorial home of longtime supporters Cecily and Rick Burleson (pictured). “It has never been more important to protect, preserve and restore our bayous after the extensive damage done by Harvey,” said Cecily. The gala will have a riverboat theme, with New Orleans-style cuisine, strolling musicians and a few surprise entertainers. Funds will support the Bayou Preservation Association’s CPR mission: to Celebrate, Protect and Restore the natural richness of the Houston area’s bayous and streams. Party-goers will also have the opportunity to meet the new president and CEO, Dr. Sarah P. Bernhardt. See bayoupreservation.org.
