Bon Temps on the Bayou

The Bayou Preservation Association invites one and all to let the good times roll at its 2018 gala, Bon Temps on the Bayou. This year’s fun takes place on Buffalo Bayou with a riverboat theme, where guests will delight in New Orleans-style cuisine provided by Pappas Catering. They can also look forward to strolling musicians and a few surprise entertainers.

Each year, supporters of the nonprofit gather outdoors at a beautiful home on a local bayou for the annual fundraiser. This year’s event takes place in the Memorial home of longtime supporters Cecily and Rick Burleson. Funds raised will support the Bayou Preservation Association’s CPR mission: to Celebrate, Protect and Restore the natural richness of all of the Houston area’s bayous and streams. Ongoing programs include stream corridor restoration, citizen science water quality, trash-free bayous and bayou appreciation. These endeavors ensure that our bayous are clean, healthy and accessible for all to enjoy.

Party-goers will also have the opportunity to meet the new President and CEO of Bayou Preservation Association, Dr. Sarah P. Bernhardt.
