An overcast and humid morning didn’t stop hundreds of West University residents from joining in on their annual Fourth of July Bike Parade. Decorated scooters, bicycles, wagons and strollers swarmed the streets as the parade began its path from University Street to Colonial Park Pool.

At the pool, the attendees were treated to a wide range of festivities from free snow cones to face painters to casual competitions. The day culminated in the Dads Belly Flop contest, where children surrounded the edge of the pool as their parents crashed into the water.
