The Spring Branch FFA had teams advance to State. The Texas FFA State Leadership Development Events took place at Sam Houston State University. Annie Valicek, president of Spring Branch FFA and a senior at Memorial High School, competed in the Senior Creed Speaking contest at state and placed ninth. She was awarded first place at the Area III contest in November. Annie and three of her fellow chapter officers, John Perez, Mary Perez and Ava Pluchino, make up the Spring Branch FFA Public Relations Team; they finished in the top 24 at State. John, Mary and Ava are sophomores at Stratford High School. The PR Team placed first at the Area III contest to qualify for State. SBFFA took 36 students to compete at the Lake Houston District contest. Out of the 12 teams to compete at district, nine of these advanced to the area contest.
