TXU Energy presents Mythical Realms is a brand-new walk-through experience that will feature more than 60 legendary creatures along an interactive enchanted trail. Guests will have the opportunity to get up close to sea monster Kraken, iconic winged horse Pegasus, supernatural guardian from Māori tradition Taniwha, and many more legendary beings.

From March 6 to Sept. 7, visitors can get face-to-face with life-sized animatronic creatures representing cultures from around the world, connect with wildlife, and create unforgettable memories. Along their journey, visitors will spot the connections between animals at the Zoo and these iconic creatures. After experiencing the exhibit, guests can visit see how they share similar characteristics with some Zoo animals like the African lions, Masai giraffes, anacondas and various other reptiles.   

By visiting the TXU Energy presents Mythical Realms at Houston Zoo, guests help save lions and giraffes in Africa. A portion of every Zoo admission ticket and membership supports the Zoo’s conservation partners Ewaso Lions and the Somali Giraffe Project. These on-the-ground conservationists protect habitat, reduce human-wildlife conflict, support anti-poaching patrols, and work with local communities to ensure these iconic species can thrive in the wild in Kenya.
