Publisher's Note - November 2016
At The Buzz, one person’s story often leads to another. You could say it’s our residents’ way of paying it forward. One such person is Claire Frazier, whose story of breast-cancer survival was shared by Jennifer Oakley in her story, Facing Cancer. During the photo shoot, Claire said, “If you really want a good story you should meet my husband Joe and his five brothers.” So this month, Jennifer spotlights this delightful “Band of Brothers” who perform at family weddings. The photo shoot was a blast and turned into a jam session. Another resident who paid it forward is Susan Farb Morris, who introduced us to LIFE photographer Bob Gomel. If a photo is worth a thousand words, Bob’s photos could fill an encyclopedia. And finally, when Karen Edelman contacted Buzz editor Joni Hoffman to say that her friend Alisa Hoffman had mistakenly been given Joni’s credit card at Walgreens, the conversation led to our story featuring adult siblings who live on the same block, Alisa’s husband, Larry, and his sisters, Lori Wilkins and Lisa Riddle. If you want to pay it forward too, we’re ready. [email protected]
