Despite being born in the humble town of Oxford, Ohio, I’ve spent the majority of my life here in Houston, so I kind of consider myself a city girl. Growing up with literature and education advocates as parents, reading and writing became as common, and arguably as important, as breathing. I have always been fascinated by the concept of taking an idea and forming it into a physical image, whether through dance, art or writing. Only later did I discover the depth to which a guitar and a few simple notes could dive into the human psyche. I have been obsessed with music and the minds that make it ever since. I am so excited for the opportunity to share my thoughts and experiences as a School Buzz blogger, and I hope it can be both beneficial to me as a writer, and for you as my audience.
