I’ve been interested in writing for the past few years. I’m a basketball fanatic, I have every basketball notification popping up on my phone every 5-10 minutes. Three years ago, I became interested in the journalists and sports writers that work for the NBA. I am so fascinated by how great at writing they are because they are just huge fans like me with a lot of determination and discipline. I love catching up with the NBA and NCAA basketball league, as I watch all of the teams play and I pay attention to all of the latest news on every team. I do enjoy playing basketball and swimming in pools as many other teenagers do as well. I love all of the talent that surrounds Houston sports. Their baseball team is nearly number 1 in the league at this point in time, the football team has many young and promising players who could lead the team to a great record this year, and of course the Rockets are expected to contend for a championship this year. Emery is unique for me because my parents attended the middle school, and my siblings also attended the middle school in addition to graduating from the high school. I was lucky enough to have attended Emery Weiner for one full year with my brother in 12th grade and my sister was in 8th grade. It was very important to me to be able to attend school for one year with both my siblings at the same school as me. My school stands out because there are so many students that have great relationships with many of the teachers and other staff members.
