Hi! I'm Ariya Selvakumar, a senior at the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in the Visual Art department. I am beyond excited to be participating in the School Buzz program for my third and final year, and I can't wait to continue highlighting all that goes on within my certainly buzzworthy school through both writing and photography. Although writing is definitely a newer pursuit of mine, my passion for snapping photos has seemed to always be a central part of my life. I believe that the power of capturing a story and passing it on is one that is engrossing and in many ways quite vital to our community and modern culture. I love telling stories of the environments, experiences, and people that surround me and am thrilled to bring this love of mine to School Buzz. Going to an arts high school has been an extremely unique experience that most people don't get to take part in. Thus, I hope that with my photos and writing you can gain a sense of what it's like to be surrounded by artists of all trades in a not-so-traditional academic environment.
