Mischa Wijesekera

My name is Mischa Wijesekera and I am a sophomore at Lamar High School. I fell in love with writing after “borrowing” my parents credit card a few years ago to buy my first journal.  Though Houston lacks breathtaking scenery or picturesque architecture, it is one of the most diverse and exhilarating cities in the world.  I am excited to join the School Buzz team because I aspire to learn and write more about the uniqueness of Houston. When not pursuing my passions for journalism and debate, you can find me in the kitchen failing to replicate New York Times recipes, running in my neighborhood, or traveling the world.
