Hi! My name is Olivia Baba and I go to Bellaire High School. I first discovered my love for writing in the fourth grade, when a poem I wrote was chosen to be featured in A Celebration of Poets, a book that compiles written works from elementary school students. Ever since I saw my own piece published, I knew writing was something I had to pursue. This pushed me to join the yearbook staff at both my middle and high schools. I am also on my school’s varsity lacrosse team and in student council. Outside of school, I am an Evelyn’s Park Ambassador and am in Leading Ladies. In my free time, you can find me baking, hiking, hanging out with friends, listening to music, or traveling. One fun fact about me is that even though I play lacrosse, baseball is my favorite sport. I’ve been an Astros fan for years now and love to keep up with all facets of the team. I’m excited to be a part of the Buzz team and continue to explore - and write about - all that Houston has to offer.
