When I first joined Saint Thomas’ Episcopal School, the first thing that sparked my interest was their outstanding yearbook and newspaper. I told my English teacher that the middle school deserved a chance to be heard and the next year the Middle School Paper, “The Loop” was created. When I was in eighth grade, I had the privilege to be its Editor-in-Chief. That experience was amazing and I will never forget that joy when parents congratulated me on our success. I started dancing ballet and tap at age five and continued on to an Indian classical dance form called Bharatanatyam. This past summer, I graduated with a two-hour solo performance in front of 200 people. I now have the qualifications to teach Bharatanatyam when I turn 16. Volleyball is another passion of mine. I started playing when I was six for the YMCA. When I moved to Saint Thomas’ Episcopal in sixth grade, I joined their volleyball team and was made co-captain. Since then, I have had the honor of being captain. I am looking forward to writing for School Buzz.
