Hello! My name is Ricky Kai and I’m a junior at Bellaire High School. I love playing soccer and spikeball with my friends and I was recently ranked the 52nd spikeball player in Texas. I was born in Japan and attended a preschool called Zoo Phonics where I learned English, made friends, and lost them when I moved to the U.S. in first grade. Ever since, my journey has been a roller coaster with my identity, social life, and school. I look forward to writing for The Buzz as an opportunity for self-expression!
