It was 78 degrees over the winter vacation when Jean-Michel and Jennifer Drai holidayed with their young ones, Marc and Ella, and visiting grandparents, Claude and Claudy Drai (from Marseille, France), in Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo. They visited with Jennifer’s mom, Sandra Howell from Tampico, Mexico, at her summer beachhouse near Playa La Ropa. During the 10 days, they caught two 10-foot sailfish and saw many baby turtles hatching from their eggs. As the fireworks cascaded over the bay where they welcomed 2014, they sent up a flying lantern with a wish for the New Year. A fleeting moment that will last forever.
