I was sold as a puppy, but later my owner divorced and sent me back to my former owner. When I was picked up, I hid in a corner, shaking. When she opened the door so I could meet her other dogs, I ran out to a busy street. Then I was freaked out with everyone chasing me. I ran under a car, and it stopped. A policeman and others were lying on the ground coaxing me to come out. I was snapping and growling. A familiar voice beckoned – my former owner was a dog whisperer for the moment, and I allowed myself to be captured. I was traumatized for three days, but now I am a part of the family where my life began. I sleep on the bed where I was born. I am insecure and demand to be in my owner’s lap every second, and I howl by the door when she arrives after work. The other dogs do not like this and give me dirty looks, but I am who I am.
