Hope and OCD
Trisha Nelson, Julie Doherty, Nancy Mattison, Dr. Gail Bray with Episcopal Health Charities, Bob and Carol Ann Paddock, Bonnie Weekley, Sam and Melinda Stubbs, Chris Mizell, Dana Burke and Cindy Holmes were among 400 who attended The Hope and Healing Center and Institute third annual Chrysalis Occasion Award Luncheon at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church. Luncheon chairs were Liz and Matt Rotan, and speaker and Chrysalis Award recipient was Elizabeth McIngvale. Her parents, Linda and Jim McIngvale, were honorary chairs. Elizabeth told a powerfully honest story of her illness and recovery from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and her father gave his perspective of her illness. Elizabeth’s accomplishments include earning a master’s degree and a doctoral degree in social work. She is a licensed master social worker and has founded her own non-profit foundation, Peace of Mind Foundation. Her mission is to improve the quality of life for OCD sufferers and caregivers.
